Meet Jordan, one of the students in our first-ever Veterinary Technician cohort.
The program allows students from all over the state to take the classroom portion of their studies online while traveling to approved veterinary partners in their areas to do the hands-on portion of their learning.
Where do you live?
I currently reside about a half hour outside of Great Falls, Mt
Do you own any animals? If so, would you like to tell us about them?
I own 2 dogs. One is a 12-year-old Dachshund named Rogue and a 12-week-old Labradoodle named Whiskey. Whiskey was actually an emergency c-section puppy I resuscitated and later adopted.
Do you work in a vet clinic already? If so, how long have you worked in the veterinary field?
I currently work at a vet clinic in my small town. I have been there for five years now!
Why is this program right for you?
I chose this program to better serve and further learn toward my career. As mentioned, I have been in the veterinary setting for several years now, and I wanted to continue my education and obtain my license.
What do you like about the program being a distance program?
I like that I am able to do things at my pace. There are obvious due dates, but I am able to work on assignments and exams on my own time, and I鈥檓 not restricted to be in class at designated times. This especially works out for me since I work full time and having to go to class either via Zoom or in person may have been difficult.
