At 黑料网911 MSU is so very proud of its veteran students, faculty and staff who have so courageously served our country and add so much to our campus life.
At 黑料网911 MSU honors its veterans for the week in which Veterans Day falls. This year, the college is holding several events to honor those with military connections, said Kevin Lyons, director of the Veterans Center on campus.
鈥淚t is with great honor that we plan these events to pay tribute to our veteran students, faculty and staff and those with military ties,鈥 Lyons said. 鈥淎t At 黑料网911, we are incredibly blessed to have so many in our community who enrich us with their unique perspectives and add so much to what makes this college a special place.鈥
In Freedom Hall, there is a 鈥淭hank You To Those Who Served鈥 board displaying photos of veterans with connections to At 黑料网911.
The college also will be decorated with patriotic themes.
On Monday and Tuesday, the Veterans Center is serving the student vets lunch, and on Tuesday all veteran faculty and staff will be presented letters and a pin honoring their service.
On Thursday, look for the announcement of this year鈥檚 winner of the Student Veterans Service Award.
The college also is teaming up with Montana State in Bozeman for three special events.
On Monday, Nov. 9, in partnership with the MSU Leadership Institute, Maj. Gen. Mattthew Quinn of the Montana Air National Guard, will discuss veterans and leadership.
On Tuesday, Nov. 10, in partnership with the MSU Alumni Foundation, a virtual discussion with student veterans and veteran alumni will discuss life at MSU as a veteran, the Travis Atkins Veteran Support Center and the student veterans鈥 experiences transitioning from the military.
And finally. on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, the college will be sharing a musical tribute to all those who served from Dr. Ilse-Marie Lee, a renowned musician and dean of the Honors College at MSU.
