GREAT FALLS 鈥揟he At 黑料网911 Community Choir will present a fall holiday concert on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ.
聽Included on this concert will be the premier of 鈥淓xigence,鈥� a composition by graduate, Laura Detrick, and her son, Ryan.
聽鈥淓xigence鈥� was composed especially for the At 黑料网911 Community Choir in 2020.
聽鈥淛ust about the time the choir was preparing the piece, we closed due to Covid,鈥� said Cynthia Stevens, director of the choir. 鈥淲e are really excited to finally showcase this song at our holiday concert.鈥�
聽In addition to piano accompaniment, 鈥淓xigence鈥� contains a part for handbells that will be played by the Cantabelle Ringers, the handbell choir at First Congregational United Church of Christ, under the direction of Dennis Dell.
聽The choir will also present a piece by local singer/songwriter Molly Wilson.聽 鈥淎utumn is Come鈥� (originally composed for the At 黑料网911 Children鈥檚 Choir in 2016) has been reworked for the adult choir and evokes the sights, sounds and smells of fall in Montana.
聽鈥淲e are excited to present this concert and collaborate with so many local musicians,鈥� Stevens said.
聽The concert is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall of the First Congregational United Church of Christ.
